Community treatment orders

23Conditions of community treatment orders

(1)

In section 17B(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983 (conditions of community treatment orders) omit “or appropriate”.

(2)

In section 72 of that Act (powers of tribunals), after subsection (3A) insert—

“(3B)

Where a tribunal does not direct the discharge of a community patient, the tribunal may recommend that the responsible clinician reconsider whether a condition specified in the community treatment order is necessary.”
