Getting started

How to get the most from your subscription

Please read this user guide in full and remember that you can accecss it at any time via the Main Menu link. A link to the guide also appears in all CrimeLine Updater emails.

Around 90% of the enquiries we receive are answered in this publication.

Support

Few things are as frustrating as technology that does not appear to work, so if you experience any difficulty then please do not hesitate to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

Our website ‘Contact’ page should normally be your first port of call as it will be directed to the most appropriate person to deal with your enquiry.

Can I call you?

We do not offer first-line telephone support. Almost all enquiries can be dealt with online. If it is necessary to offer telephone support then of course we will.

Email delivery

Delivering emails is a complex business as we constantly fight spam filters. Please ensure that you add our email address andrew@crimeline.co.uk to your safe sender list, as most of our communications via newsletter are sent via it.

If you are not regularly receiving CrimeLine Updater emails then please get in touch ASAP so that we can investigate that for you.

Whitelisting

To improve delivery with allowlisting, an IT professional at the affected domain will need to change the configuration of the receiving email server to accept mail from Mailchimp’s delivery IP addresses.

To start the process, follow these steps.

  1. Copy this link and forward it to your IT department.
    https://www.mailchimp.com/about/ips/
  2. The IT professional should then follow the instructions on the Mailchimp IP site to calculate the complete range of our IP addresses. After they have the full IP list, they’ll need to allowlist all Mailchimp IP addresses on their domain.
