Requirement to provide information: Annual progress5.

(1)

The head teacher of every maintained school must make arrangements for providing (“the annual information”)—

(a)

in relation to pupils up to and including year 9, the information in Part 2 of Schedule 2,

(b)

in relation to pupils up to and including year 9 and who are entered for an approved relevant qualification, the information in Parts 2 and 3 of Schedule 2, and

(c)

in relation to pupils in years 10 and 11, the information in Parts 2 and 3 of Schedule 2.

(2)

The annual information may be provided in such form as the head teacher reasonably considers appropriate.

(3)

The annual information must be made available before the end of each school year.

(4)

Nothing in this regulation prevents the annual information being contained in more than one document provided that, subject to regulation 6(2), the head teacher provides such information before the end of the school year.

(5)

The annual information must be made available to—

(a)

each adult pupil,

(b)

the parent of each adult pupil (if the head teacher considers there to be special circumstances which make it appropriate), or

(c)

the parent of each pupil in the case of all other registered pupils at the school.

(6)

This regulation does not apply in relation to any pupil who is to be provided with a school leaver’s report pursuant to regulation 8.
