Explanatory note

Application of new law5.

(1)

This article applies to a child who on 1 September 2021 has identified special educational needs and who at the start of the 2021-2022 school year is in a nursery class, year 1, year 3, year 5, year 7 or year 10.

(2)

The new law applies in relation to the child at the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

(3)

The old law ceases to apply in relation to the child at the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
