The Social Security (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2025

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2), (3) and (4)
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 123(1)(d), 130A(2), (3) and (5) and 175(1) and (3) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 19921, sections 2(3)(b) and 19(1) of the State Pension Credit Act 20022 and sections 11(4), 32 and 42(1) to (3) of, and paragraphs 1(1), 4, 6 and 7 of Schedule 6 to, the Welfare Reform Act 20123.
In accordance with section 173(1)(b) of the Social Security Administration Act 19924, the Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that the proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it.
In respect of regulations 3 and 4, in accordance with section 176(1) of the Social Security Administration Act 19925, the Secretary of State has consulted with organisations appearing to the Secretary of State to be representative of the authorities concerned.
In respect of regulation 5, in accordance with section 29(7) of the Scotland Act 20166, the Secretary of State has consulted with the Scottish Ministers.
