The Local Authorities (Mayoral Elections) (England and Wales) Regulations 20076 are amended as follows.
(2)
In Schedule 1 (the mayoral elections rules), in rule 8 (subscription of nomination paper)—
(a)
in paragraph 1, omit “, and by twenty-eight other electors as assenting”;
(b)
in paragraph 2, for “, seconding or assenting to” substitute “or seconding”.
(3)
In Schedule 3 (mayoral election combination of polls rules), in rule 8 (subscription of nomination paper)—
(a)
in paragraph 1, omit “, and by twenty-eight other electors as assenting”;
(b)
in paragraph 2, for “, seconding or assenting to” substitute “or seconding”.
