Exemption from section 4(1)(b) of the Act (prohibition on unlicensed transmission of electricity for supply) for Rampion Offshore Wind Limited3.

(1)

Exemption is granted from section 4(1)(b) of the Act (prohibition on unlicensed transmission of electricity for supply) to Rampion Offshore Wind Limited in respect of transmission taking place over the transmission system connected to the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm.

(2)

The exemption in paragraph (1) of this Article shall apply for the period beginning with 28th November 2020 and ending with the earlier of—

(a)

the day after the day on which the transmission system connected to Rampion Offshore Wind Farm is transferred to a successful bidder;

(b)

27th November 2021.

In this Article—

(a)

“Rampion Offshore Wind Limited” means Rampion Offshore Wind Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with the company number 07199847;

(b)

“Rampion Offshore Wind Farm” means the generating station located approximately 13.5 kilometres to 19.6 kilometres from the shore, in the English Channel, off the Sussex coast, its coordinates at its central point being Latitude 50.668 and Longitude -0.276.
