Amendment of section 397 of the Sentencing Act 20203.

In section 397 of the Sentencing Act 2020 (interpretation: general), after subsection (4) insert—

“(5)

For the purposes of this Code, proceedings are instituted when they are instituted for the purposes of Part 1 of the Prosecution of Offences Act 19854 (see section 15(2) of that Act).”
