4Extent, commencement and short title

(1)

Section 1 extends to England and Wales.

(2)

An amendment made by section 2 or 3 has the same extent as the provision amended.

(3)

This section extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

(4)

The following provisions of this Act come into force on the day on which it is passed—

(a)

section 1;

(b)

section 2, for the purposes of the exercise by the Secretary of State or the official receiver of powers under section 7(4) of the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986;

(c)

section 3, for the purposes of the exercise by the Department or the official receiver of powers under Article 10(5A) of the Company Directors Disqualification (Northern Ireland) Order 2002 (S.I. 2002/3150 (N.I. 4)) (inserted by section 3(3)(b));

(d)

this section.

Sections 2 and 3 come into force for remaining purposes at the end of the period of two months beginning with the day on which this Act is passed.

This Act may be cited as the Rating (Coronavirus) and Directors Disqualification (Dissolved Companies) Act 2021.
