Anonymity of victims
Increase in penalty for breach of anonymity10

Section 5 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992 (offences) is amended as follows.

In subsection (1) omit the words from “and liable” to “standard scale”.

“(1A)
A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale, or to both.”.
