These Regulations make various changes to the secondary legislation dealing with coronavirus restrictions in the North, North East and North West of England.
Regulation 2 amends the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (North of England) Regulations 2020 so as to add the area of Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council to “the protected area” of the Regulations, and to remove from that protected area:
the area of Halton Borough Council;
the area of Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council;
the area of Liverpool City Council;
the area of Sefton Borough Council;
the area of St Helens Borough Council;
the area of Warrington Borough Council;
the area of Wirral Metropolitan District Council.
Regulation 3 amends the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (North East and North West of England) Regulations 2020 so as to add to “the protected area” of the Regulations:
the area of Halton Borough Council;
the area of Hartlepool Borough Council;
the area of Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council;
the area of Liverpool City Council;
the area of Middlesbrough Council;
the area of Sefton Borough Council;
the area of St Helens Borough Council;
the area of Warrington Borough Council;
the area of Wirral Metropolitan District Council.
Regulation 4 corrects a reference in the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Obligations of Undertakings) (England) Regulations 2020.
Regulation 5 revokes the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Bolton) Regulations 2020.
