CHAPTER 2Health Research Authority
Establishment
109The Health Research Authority
(1)
There is to be a body corporate called the Health Research Authority (referred to in this Act as “the HRA”).
(2)
Schedule 7 (which includes provision about the HRA‘s constitution, the exercise of its functions and its financial and reporting duties) has effect.
(3)
The Special Health Authority called the Health Research Authority is abolished; and, in consequence of that, the following are revoked—
(a)
the Health Research Authority (Establishment and Constitution) Order 2011 (S.I. 2011/2323), and
(b)
the Health Research Authority Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011/2341).
(4)
The Secretary of State may by order provide for the transfer of property, rights and liabilities from that Special Health Authority to the HRA; for further provision about an order under this section, see section 118.
