Ancillary regulations29
(1)
The Department of Justice may by regulations make such supplementary, incidental, consequential, transitional, transitory or saving provision as the Department considers appropriate for the purposes of, in connection with or for giving full effect to the provisions of this Act.
(2)
Regulations under subsection (1)—
(a)
except where they amend any text of primary legislation, are subject to negative resolution,
(b)
if they amend any text of primary legislation, may not be made unless a draft of them has been laid before and approved by a resolution of the Assembly.
(3)
Primary legislation as referred to in subsection (2) is—
(a)
any Northern Ireland legislation, or
(b)
any Act of Parliament.
