CHAPTER 1Prevention orders

Time limit for making violent offences prevention orders26

(1)

In section 57 of the Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2015, after subsection (5) insert—

“(6)

Article 78(1) of the Magistrates’ Courts (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 does not apply to a complaint under this section.”.

(2)

The amendment made by this section applies to a complaint made after the coming into operation of this section even if the cause of complaint arose more than 6 months before the making of the complaint.
