Local bus services provided by the Welsh Ministers

18Provision of local bus services by the Welsh Ministers

(1)

The Welsh Ministers may, for the purposes of fulfilling their duty under section 5(1)(c) in respect of a local bus service, provide a local bus service if they are satisfied that doing so would be a more effective way of fulfilling that duty than entering into a local bus service contract under section 10 in respect of the service.

(2)

Subsection (1) does not apply to a local bus service that is a community bus service.
