A sentence of one year and four months’ detention was upheld for an offence of aggravated vehicle taking. The disqualification of 5 years and 8 months with an extended re-test was substituted for one of 3 years and 8 months due to the lack of previous driving offences nor breach of any period of disqualification earlier imposed.
