Amendments relating to the election timetable5.

(1)

In section 40(1) of the Representation of the People Act 1983 (timing as to local elections in England and Wales)9, after “section 37” insert “, section 37ZA”.

(2)

In rule 3(1) of the Local Elections (Principal Areas) (Wales) Rules 2021 (interpretation), in the definition of “excluded day”, after paragraph (f) insert—

“(g)

a day appointed for public thanksgiving or mourning;”.
