These Regulations prohibit the arrival in England of aircraft travelling directly from South Africa and amend the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020 (S.I. 2020/568) to—
- (a)
remove exemptions from the requirement to self-isolate and the requirement to complete a Passenger Locator Form for people who have arrived in England from South Africa or who have arrived in England from elsewhere and, during the 10 days preceding their arrival in England, have been in or transited through South Africa (“South Africa arrivals”);
- (b)
exclude South Africa arrivals and members of their household from the “Test to Release” regime;
- (c)
require people residing with South Africa arrivals to self-isolate.
