Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 70(8), 171D, 171G(2) and 175(1), (3) and (4) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 19921 and sections 40 and 42(1) to (3) and (5) of, and paragraph 4(1), (3)(a) and (4) of Schedule 1 and paragraphs 1 and 4(1)(a) of Schedule 6 to, the Welfare Reform Act 20122.
In accordance with section 173(1)(b) of the Social Security Administration Act 19923, the Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that the proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it.
In accordance with section 176(1) of the Social Security Administration Act 19924, in relation to regulation 3, the Secretary of State has consulted with organisations appearing to the Secretary of State to be representative of the authorities concerned.
