PART 4Transport

Workplace parking levy13.

(1)

The functions of the constituent councils as licensing authorities specified in the following enactments are exercisable by the Combined County Authority in relation to the Area—

(a)

Chapters 2 (workplace parking levy) and 3 (general and supplementary) of Part 3 (road user charging and workplace parking levy) of the 2000 Act;

(b)

the Workplace Parking Levy (England) Regulations 200938.

(2)

The functions mentioned in paragraph (1) are exercisable by the Combined County Authority concurrently with the constituent councils.

(3)

Any exercise of the functions conferred by paragraph (1) requires the consent of each constituent council in whose area it is proposed that the function is to be exercised.

(4)

In paragraph (1), “licensing authorities” has the meaning given to “licensing authority” by section 178(6) of the 2000 Act (preliminary).
