PART 4Election of Mayor

The Mayor’s first and subsequent terms of office15.

(1)

The term of office of the Mayor for the Combined Area who is elected in 2024—

(a)

begins with 7th May 2024; and

(b)

ends with the fourth day after the day of the poll at the next election for the return of a Mayor for the Combined Area.

(2)

The term of office of the Mayor who is elected in 2028 and in each subsequent fourth year—

(a)

begins with the fourth day after the day of the poll at the election for the return of a Mayor for the Combined Area; and

(b)

ends with the fourth day after the day of the poll at the next election for the return of a Mayor for the Combined Area.
