The State Pension Credit (Coronavirus) (Electronic Claims) (Amendment) Regulations 2020

Made
Laid before Parliament
Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(1), 5(1)(a) and (i), 189(1), (4) and (5) and 191 of the Social Security Administration Act 19921.
The Secretary of State, considering that the authorisation of the use of electronic communications by these Regulations for any purpose is such that the extent (if any) to which records of things done for that purpose will be available will be no less satisfactory in cases where use is made of electronic communications than in other cases, makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 8 and 9(5) of the Electronic Communications Act 20002.

In accordance with section 173(1)(a) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992, it appears to the Secretary of State that by reason of the urgency of this matter it is inexpedient to refer the proposals in respect of these Regulations to the Social Security Advisory Committee.
