Appointment of advocates

This section applies where the Secretary of State appoints more than one advocate in respect of the same major incident.

The Secretary of State must appoint one of the advocates as the lead advocate in respect of that incident.

An advocate appointed in respect of the incident must have regard to any directions given by the lead advocate as to how they are to exercise their functions in respect of the incident.
