Section 4 (committal for sentence on indication of guilty plea to offence triable either way) is amended as follows.

(2)

In subsection (5), for the words after “could” substitute “have dealt with him for it”.

(3)

Subsection (8) is amended as follows—

(a)

omit “and” at the end of paragraph (a);

(b)

paragraph (b) becomes subsection (9).
