(1)

Paragraph 1 of Schedule 7 (statutory restrictions on disclosure) is amended as follows.

(2)

The existing text becomes sub-paragraph (1).

(3)

In that sub-paragraph, in paragraph (a)—

(a)

for “the Data Protection Act 1998” substitute “
the data protection legislation
”, and

(b)

for “are” substitute “
is
”.

(4)

After that sub-paragraph, insert—

“(2)

In this paragraph, “the data protection legislation” has the same meaning as in the Data Protection Act 2018 (see section 3 of that Act).”
