Part 1Amendments of the County Courts Act 1984

(1)

Section 12 (records of proceedings) is amended as follows.

(2)

For subsection (1) (district judge for a district to keep such records as may be prescribed) substitute—

“(1)

The Lord Chancellor may by regulations made by statutory instrument provide for the keeping of records of and in relation to proceedings of the county court.”

(3)

In subsection (2) (certified copies of entries) for “the district judge” substitute “
a judge of the county court
”.

(4)

In the title omit the words after “kept”.
