In regulation 3—
(a)
in paragraph (4), at the beginning, insert “Subject to paragraph (7)”,

Paragraphs (4)(c), (d) and (e) do not apply to a person who has departed from, or transited through, South Africa.”.

(a)
in the title, after “travellers” insert “or others”,
(b)
in paragraph (1), for “This regulation applies”, substitute “Paragraph (2) applies”,

Paragraph (2A) applies where a person (“D”) is residing at an address where P is required to stay in accordance with paragraph (2) because P has arrived in Scotland having departed from, or transited through, South Africa.”,

D must not leave the place where they are residing with P except to the extent that a defence would be available under regulation 9(6) until the end of the period during which, according to paragraph (2), P is required to remain in that place.”.
