These Regulations amend the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 (“the principal Regulations”).

Regulation 3 omits Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe from Schedule 1 (Red list countries) so that there are no countries listed for the purposes of that Schedule.

Regulation 4 omits Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe from Schedule 8 (Prohibition on arrival of aircraft and vessels) so that relevant aircraft departing from these countries or territories are no longer prohibited from landing in Northern Ireland.
