Coming into operation
The Department for Infrastructure1 makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 and sections 13(3) and (5), 20 and 56(1) and (2) of the Taxis Act (Northern Ireland) 20083 and now vested in it4.
The Department for Infrastructure is designated5 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to the testing of the roadworthiness of motor vehicles and measures relating to the carriage of passengers and goods by road.
