These Regulations amend the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 (“the International Travel Regulations”) and the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Public Health Advice for Persons Travelling to Northern Ireland) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 (“the Public Health Advice Regulations”).

Regulation 2 is amended to ensure those travelling to a part of the Republic of Ireland from another part of the Republic of Ireland who pass through Northern Ireland on route are not required to complete a passenger locator form provided they remain in their vehicle at all times.

Regulation 3 is amended to allow those self-isolating to leave their place of self-isolation to exercise alone or with other members of their household.

Aruba, France, Monaco, Malta, the Netherlands, and the Turks and Caicos Islands are removed from the list of exempt countries in Schedule 3.

Two golf tournaments planned for September in Northern Ireland have been added to the list of specified competitions in Schedule 4.

The review period of both regulations is amended to 28 days.
