The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 62(2) of Regulation (EU) No. 1306/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 on the financing, management and monitoring of the common agricultural policy1, in so far as it relates to direct payment schemes makes the following Regulations.

EUR 2013/1306, in so far as relating to the direct payment schemes, was incorporated into domestic law with effect from 31 January 2020 (exit day) by the Direct Payment to Farmers (Legislative Continuity) Act 2020 (c. 2). Article 62(2) was amended by regulation 7(4) of the Financing, Management and Monitoring of Direct Payments to Farmers (Amendment) Regulations 2020 (S.I. 2020/90) the powers are exercisable by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (Article 2(1)(k) and (m) EUR 2013/1306 inserted by S.I. 2020/90). There are other amending instruments but none are relevant to these Regulations.
