Final provisions
Commencement and transitional provisions, etc.5
(1)
This section and section 6 come into operation on the day after the day on which this Act receives Royal Assent.
(2)
The other provisions of this Act come into operation on such day or days as the Department of Justice may by order appoint.
(3)
Paragraph 4 of Schedule 8 to the Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2015 (provision in Part 2 of that Act (committal for trial) not to apply to proceedings instituted before the coming into operation of that provision) applies for the purposes of the provisions mentioned in subsection (2) as it applies for the purposes of the provisions in that Part.
(4)
An order under subsection (2) may contain further transitional provisions or savings.
