(1)

The Adoption and Children Act 2002 is amended as follows.

(2)

In section 63—

(a)

in subsection (4)(a), for the words from “Health and Social Services Board” to the end of the paragraph substitute “Health and Social Care trust established under Article 10 of the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1991,”;

(b)

in subsection (4)(b), for “adoption society which is registered under Article 4” substitute “appropriate voluntary organisation within the meaning of Article 2(2)”;

(c)

omit subsection (5).

(3)

In section 65(2)(b)—

(a)

for “a Health and Social Services Board established under Article 16 of the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 (S.I. 1972/1265 (N.I. 14))” substitute “a Health and Social Care trust established under Article 10 of the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1991”;

(b)

for “adoption society which is registered under Article 4” substitute “appropriate voluntary organisation within the meaning of Article 2(2)”.
