CHAPTER 2INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT PLANS
Information about plans
22Provision of information about individual development plans
(1)
If a governing body or a local authority prepares an individual development plan for a child or young person, it must give a copy of the plan—
(a)
to the child or young person, and
(b)
if the plan is for a child, to the child’s parent.
(2)
If a governing body or a local authority becomes responsible for maintaining an individual development plan that was previously being maintained for a child or young person by another body, the governing body or local authority must—
(a)
inform the child or young person that it has become responsible for maintaining the plan, and
(b)
if the plan is for a child, inform the child’s parent.
(3)
If a local authority prepares an individual development plan for a looked after child or becomes responsible for maintaining an individual development plan for a looked after child that was previously being maintained for the child by another body, it must also give a copy of the plan to the child’s independent reviewing officer.
