Discovery Land Company, LLC & Others v Jirehouse & Others [2019] EWHC 2249 (Ch)

The claimant applied to commit the seventh defendant, Stephen Jones, to prison for contempt of court. The contempt related to breaches of certain undertakings given to the court and breaches of disclosure provisions contained in a freezing injunction. Jirehouse was regulated by the SRA and the relevant orders were made against the company, the undertakings were given by Jones in his personal capacity and on behalf of Jirehouse.  Jones was a solicitor and director of Jirehouse, a company through which he provided international legal and tax planning services. The Court concluded that a number of grounds of contempt were established.
